Have a smartphone, mobile number and email address
Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or otherwise have the right to work in Australia
Have held an unrestricted Australian driver licence for at least 6 months
Have an ABN and be GST-registered
Hold a current Driver Accreditation
Be listed as the insured driver on the insurance

Vehicle Requirements VIC

Vehicles must meet the state government’s requirements and must be in great condition, free of any damage and decals. The vehicle must:

be no more than 15 years
have a minimum of 4 doors
seat a minimum of 4 passengers
seat a maximum of 6 passengers
RWC accepted. Exemption for new vehicle within 12 months

Profile Picture
You will need to submit a clear photo of yourself (in JPG, JPEG, PNG format, at least 200 x 200 pixels). The photo you submit will be displayed as your profile picture for riders to verify you.
Driver’s Licence
You will need to submit a copy of your current driver licence. You must have held a full driver licence in VIC for a minimum period of 6 months to provide rideshare services.
Driver accreditation

Proof of ID
You will need to provide an alternative ID (other than your driver licence), such as a valid passport, Immi card, Australian or NZ birth certificate or citizenship certificate.
Commercial Passenger Vehicle Registration

Vehicle Inspection
You must ensure that your vehicle passes a vehicle inspection by Redbook Pty Ltd every 12 months. You will need to submit the full report of vehicle inspection report issued within 12 months of your application. To

After your registration is approved, you will receive 2 x self-adhesive DiDi Stickers by post. Most states and territories’ regulations require that you display signs indicating that the vehicle is being used to provide passenger services.
