Vehicles must meet the state government’s requirements and must be in great condition, free of any damage and decals. The vehicle must:
be no more than 10 years
have a minimum of 4 doors
seat a minimum of 4 passengers
seat a maximum of 6 passengers
not be an ex-taxi
be registered in WA and covered by 3F Motor Injury Insurance (MII)
be covered under a current third-party or comprehensive insurance
be registered for Passenger Transport Vehicle Authorisation (PTV-A)
Profile Picture
You will need to submit a clear photo of yourself (in JPG, JPEG, PNG format, at least 200 x 200 pixels). The photo you submit will be displayed as your profile picture for riders to verify you.
WA Driver’s Licence
You will need to submit a copy of your current driver licence. You must have held a full, unrestricted driver’s licence (or Temporary Driver’s Licence Receipt) in WA for a minimum period of 12 months.
Proof of ID
You will need to provide an alternative ID (other than your driver licence), such as a valid passport, Immi card, Australian or NZ birth certificate or citizenship certificate.
Passenger Transport Driver Authorisation (PTD-A)
A PTD authorisation is an annual authorisation that permits a person to drive a vehicle for hire or reward. You will need to submit a PTD authorisation along with your application.

Passenger Transport Vehicle Authorisation (PTV-A)
A PTV authorisation is an authorisation to operate a vehicle to provide a passenger transport service. You will need to submit a Passenger Transport Vehicle (PTV) authorisation in the category of On-demand Charter vehicle (OD-C). 3F Motor Injury Insurance (MII)
Motor Injury Insurance is an expanded insurance cover that provides treatment, care and support if you are catastrophically injured in a vehicle crash, irrespective of whether another driver is found at fault in the crash. You must ensure that your vehicle has the correct class of MII recorded against its registration (class 3(f)).
Declare Your Vehicle Insurance
You will need to declare that your vehicle is insured. Your vehicle must have a current third-party damage or comprehensive insurance cover, on which you should be listed as an insured driver.

Western Australia The sticker must be displayed on the rear window of the vehicle on the passenger’s side. If this is not practical, then the sticker must be displayed in a position on the vehicle that is clearly visible from the rear of the vehicle while it is operating. After your registration is approved, you will receive 2 x self-adhesive DiDi Stickers by post. Most states and territories’ regulations require that you display signs indicating that the vehicle is being used to provide passenger services.
