DiDi supports Pride internationally and is proud to be a major partner of PrideFEST’s 30th anniversary in Western Australia in 2019. Not only is DiDi encouraging everyone in Perth to ride with pride throughout November, but through our participation in PrideFest, we’re supporting Pride WA ’s mission as the Leading LGBTIQ+ arts & cultural organisation to champion the rights and freedom of sexually and gender diverse people in WA.
Globally, DiDi advocates for the inclusion and diversity of all its employees, driver-partners and riders. We’re a pioneer in many safety features that helps to ensure that our riders feel welcome and comfortable in a ride.
A bit closer to home, we kicked off our Pride celebration with a colourful stall at the Pride Fairday on November 2 at Hyde Park, Perth, where local community groups, LGBTIQ+ artists, allies and supporters got to hang out and spend a fun-filled afternoon with music and rainbow cupcakes (amongst many treats and delights!).
Next we’re ramping things up for the grand finale at the Pride Parade with our custom-built float, and the after-party at the Court Hotel on the last day of the month!
Headlining the DiDi float will be Perth’s favourites Jordan Bruno and DJ Ndorse, as well as talented dance crew to create a memorable evening for you and your friends! The annual Perth Pride Parade will kick off at 8pm in Northbridge with awards to follow at the official Francis Street After Party.

This year’s PrideFEST 2019 theme is Reflect: Heroes, Community, Identity & Love – calling on all to reflect on how far PrideFEST has come and how much further there is to go until we are all truly equal and free in Australia. DiDi is excited to be a part of this community-focused initiative, and calls upon all to be inclusive and supportive of our diverse groups of driver and rider needs.
Don’t forget, Saturday 30 November 2019 is also the fourth and final DiDiDAY, so you can redeem the codes DiDiDAY and DiDiPRIDE (new user only) for up to $30 in ride vouchers to get you to and from the event.
