Choose to record audio before a trip starts and stay covered if the unexpected happens.
Record with one tap: Both riders and drivers can record trip audio. After you tap Start, the trip will be recorded from pickup to dropoff. Neither person will be notified if the other chooses to record audio during the trip.
Evidence if you need it: You control how your audio is used. You can attach recordings to a safety report for review by DiDi’s Incident Response Team, or delete them from My Trips / Trip History at any time.
Privacy on your terms: Recordings only stay on your device for 30 days unless you delete them sooner. No one can access them, and DiDi’s Incident Response Team can only listen if you choose to upload them in a safety report.
From the DiDi or DiDi Driver app home screen, tap the blue Safety Shield > Record Audio > Set up.
When requested by your device, allow microphone permissions to enable audio recording during trips.
